·       SALIENT FEATURES:

Ø It is a dedicated financial institution established by the Government of Nepal to finance in hydropower and renewable energy projects.

Ø It only invests in hydropower generation projects with a capacity of more than 25 MW, renewable energy projects, power transmission and distribution projects.

Ø It invests funds either in the form of debt or equity.

Ø It is a Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI) listed with the Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank of Nepal, which supervises its core business activities.

Ø It mobilizes long term investable funds raised from various domestic and internal sources to hydropower and renewable energy projects.
